• All A honor roll went to Beef O’Brady’s for a special luncheon to celebrate their awesome accomplishment of getting all A’s.

RED Reading - The students will work and read their way through Watson’s Go to Birmingham. They will have at least two mini lessons to add to the CAFE Menu of skills and strategies! Additionally, they will work on an author’s study.
BLUE Reading - The students will work and read their way through Boxcar Children. They will have at least two mini lessons to add to the CAFE Menu of skills and strategies!
MIND Time – We are working on researching colleges that are participating in the NCAA men’s basketball tournament.
Math: We will continue our unit on area and perimeter this week. We will also continue to work on two-dimensional shapes. I have also started a math competition with multiplication facts. We need to work on fluency of those facts, so if you can spare five to ten minutes a night and give your child some multiplication facts that would be awesome.

If you have internet access your child can get on superteacher1.blogspot.com and play educational games such as compass, dreambox or mangahigh. If they play dreambox tell them no visiting the arcade until they have 10 tokens.

Thank you,
Your Third Grade Teachers
